Open House at Cedarview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care

Lebanon, OH, 2017-Dec-01 — /EPR Network/ — Community members and resident families are invited to attend an open house at Cedarview Healthcare Center on Dec. 5th from 5pm-7pm. The guests will be provided a tour of the facility and enjoy music and light refreshments at the event.

“We are all very excited at the facility for the changes and to share these improvements with our residents, the community and employees,” says Elliott Polsky, Administrator of CedarView Healthcare Center.

The renovations to the facility include our updated rehab unit, including a new rehab gym. The rehab unit has 8 private suites. The lobby was completely embellished including new furniture in the lobby and throughout the entire community. Cedarview HealthCare Center is an 83-bed skilled nursing home that caters to the residents of Lebanon.

New FDA Regulations Require More Of Opioid Drug Makers

WASHINGTON DCJuly 18, 2012, 7:12 am — /EPR NETWORK/ — In an effort to help decrease the number of deaths related to opioid overdose, the FDA is requiring pharmaceutical companies that manufacture opioids to help fund training programs for medical professionals. Along with the training funding, drug makers will also be required to provide safety pamphlets to patients explaining the risks and interactions of the opioids.

New England Rehab Highlights Newest Problem With Cocaine

WASHINGTON DCMay 01, 2012, 2:24 pm — /EPR NETWORK/ — New research suggests that cocaine causes the brain to age faster in chronic users than the normal aging process for non-users of cocaine. A study by scientists at the University of Cambridge, and published in Molecular Psychiatry, focused on the grey matter of the brain in chronic cocaine users versus the grey matter of those who didn’t use cocaine. The study pointed out that while everyone loses grey matter every year, those who were chronic cocaine users lost grey matter at double the rate of non-users. Grey matter in the brain is responsible for decision-making, self-regulation, attention and memory, and the increased loss of it causes the brain to age more rapidly.
