Head to Paris’ prestigious Le Louvre to discover the talent showcased in Antoine Watteau and the Art of Engraving, which is available to view until October 11th.

The venue is not far from where most hotel Paris guests will be staying, so transport should not be an issue and when they get there, travellers will be treated to a masterful display of engravings by the celebrated artist.

It has been curated by Marie-Catherine Sahut and features about 100 plates that the artist decorated with his engravings.

The venue noted that Watteau was one of the main instigators of the ‘Rocaille’ style and this collection – most of which has been borrowed from Edmond de Rothschild – offers an understanding of this art during the 1700s.

Hole are set to bring their raucous stage show to Paris’ Le Bataclan venue next month.

The band, fronted by Kurt Cobain’s ex-wife Courtney Love, have endured a turbulent career. They split up back in 2002 after relations broke down between Love and Eric Erlandson, the two remaining founder members of the band.

Much to the joy of their legions of fans, the group are now back on the road, having reformed last year with a number of new recruits. These include Micko Larkin, the former guitarist for now-defunct English four-piece Larrikin Love.

Love and her fellow band-mates will be coming to the French capital on August 25th 2010 to play what will be their only show in France for the foreseeable future.

Holidaymakers will be flocking to Paris hotels next month as one of France’s biggest music festivals, Rock en Seine, comes to town.

Taking place at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, just outside the capital, the event gets underway on August 27th 2010 and runs until 29th.

The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Brussels, has become the first hotel in the city to gain the Green Key for its huge environmental efforts.

The Green Key is an international and worldwide available eco-label awarded to leisure organisations and facilities. It demands the fulfilment of a list of environmental requirements containing a number of criteria.

Besides environmental demands, such as controlling the production of waste and the use of water and electricity, the criteria include also demands on policy, action plans, environmental education and communication.

Apart from the international baseline criteria each country also adds 20% of national criteria taking into account legislation, infrastructure, policies, and climate of the country to ensure adjustment to national and cultural characteristics.
