London Transport Museum offers rare opportunity for visitors to tour one of London’s lost ‘ghost’ stations in central London.
July 17, 2013, 10:14 am – /EPR NETWORK/ — One of London’s secret ‘ghost’ underground stations will reopen for a short time in a new immersive event organised by the London Transport Museum this September. Aldwych station, a branch of the Piccadilly Line, has been closed for decades but still opens occasionally for special events such as Lost & Found: A Secret Underground Journey, a theatrical tour that will allow visitors a rare look inside an abandoned station. Aldwych station is on The Strand, a short walk from Charing Cross, where many of London’s biggest central London hotels are located. Visitors looking for hotels near Charing Cross, should book through LondonTown.com, where they will find the best bargains on London hotel rooms.
