GDIF is back for nine days of street performances, art and dancing in the streets, reports LondonTown.com
June 19, 2013, 1:21 pm — /EPR NETWORK/ — Launching on Friday, the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival provides a great chance to enjoy some free alfresco entertainment over the weekend. The nine day event welcomes streets performances, outdoor art spectaculars and plenty of dancing in the streets. In fact, the whole of Greenwich comes alive for the occasion. This year’s festival opens with As The World Tipped, an outdoor storytelling of the drastic effects of climate change. While further programme highlights include One Million, an imaginative combination of aerial acts and live music that tells the story of young people climbing to reach an elusive new job;Dancing City , the UK’s largest annual programme of outdoor dance; and the Greenwich Fair, a packed weekend of outdoor theatre, circus, dance, installations and sideshow.
