January 17, 2013, 7:47 am – /EPR NETWORK/ — The carpet cleaning industry has really come a long way since the invention of the first hand held carpet cleaner in 1956 invented by Mr. Harry Rench, CEO and founder of Rench Manufacturing Company. The first designs had some very evident limitations that Mr. Rench tried to fix and improve the drycleaner’s for carpeting. The vacuum had a very nice appealing look to it and was equipped with an electric cord. Most people at the time couldn’t afford to buy these newly invented cleaning machines and Mr. Rench rented the cleaning machines out to people wanting to clean their carpets. It was like a dream come true for most people with carpeting in their homes.
