Golden Group Seeks “Smart” Green Disposal With New Sani SAC Product

PATTERSON, NY—Golden Group International, Ltd. (GGI) recently introduced a uniquesanitary disposal bag for public restrooms that is expected to drastically reduce plumbing problems and improve restroom cleanliness, while providing a “smart” green solution for companies and individuals who want to both prevent waste and pollution.

Sani SAC™, a sanitary, sealable, degradable plastic bag, is the company’s environmentally friendly solution for the disposal of tampons/napkins, diapers and other similar items in public restrooms. GGI has created a 50-bag box, a 125-bag roll and a 5-bag handi-pack. The degradable bags break down in landfills within 12 to 18 months. By using them, companies keep the disposed items from winding up in sewers, and leading to waterways and oceans when sewers overflow.

Jackie Transue, President of GGI, said she had the idea for founding GGI in 2007 while traveling on business as the president of her own mortgage company. She said practically every restroom in several states had a sign in the women’s room requesting disposal of sanitary items in wastebaskets instead of toilets.

“The light bulb went off and I thought that there must be a better solution than wasting so much toilet paper for wrapping tampons or napkins,” Ms. Transue said.“Also, sometimes women are embarrassed to place items in a wastebasket– that’s why they are tempted to flush them.”

While some bathrooms contain disposal areas for sanitary napkins/tampons, typically they are lined by a waxed paper bag, which does not address the waste of wrapping the items in toilet paper. The waxed bags are intrinsically less environmentally responsible than the Sani SAC™. According to Golden Group studies, the average menstruating female uses one extra roll of toilet paper during menstruation for the purpose of feminine hygiene disposal alone. During her lifetime, she would use an additional 450 rolls of toilet paper for this purpose. That translates to 9.5 trees per woman. Based on that, the 125 million current menstruating females would account for 380 million trees cut down for toilet paper used for this disposal over 35-40 years, the average menstrual lifetime.

Hotels.com revealed the results of a new survey which shows that, in the course of a generation, the number of countries visited by an Irish under-16 year old has doubled. The survey was conducted by Hotels.com through Rollercoaster.ie, Ireland’s leading website for parents.

While a child today will have visited an average of six different countries by the age of 16, their parents had visited an average of three countries by the same age – a 100% increase in travel in just one generation.

While the rise in popularity of European city and beach breaks has contributed to children from Ireland venturing overseas, today’s under-16s are also heading further afield. The Hotels.com research showed that 24% of children have been to America by their sixteenth birthday, whilst 5% have been to destinations in Asia and Australia. According to the research, almost every child in Ireland (98%) has made a trip to a European destination by the time they reach 16.

Alison Couper, Director of Communications at Hotels.com, said: “Irish children today are better travelled than ever with almost every under-16 year old experiencing countries abroad according to our research.

A recession isn’t anywhere near enough to stop the kids nagging about Disneyland. So if you’re hell bent on a Florida holiday, how do you get the biggest bang for your buck?

At the 2008 World Travel Market, the feeling was that long haul travel was holding up well despite the economic downturn, mostly because Brits seem to be saving up for one big holiday rather than taking a handful of shorter ones spread over the year. Which is good news because a healthy demand keeps prices low.

Price comparison website BeatTheBrochure.com, has more advice. “Shop around online. It’s the most efficient way to find cheap Florida holiday deals.”

Hotels.com has revealed results from its latest survey* which indicate that credit-crunched Britons are increasingly looking to book holidays out of season in a bid to avoid peak prices and get the most from their holiday budgets.

With some hotels slashing their prices by up to 70% for out-of-season stays, holiday-makers are taking advantage of off-peak prices to get more for their money, according to leading accommodation site, Hotels.com.

The research has shown that searches for low season stays in long-haul destinations such as South Asia, South America and the South Pacific have dramatically increased year-on-year, in some cases by as much as 200%.

Travellers to Queensland during the Antipodean winter month of June could save over two thirds (68%) on hotel accommodation while visitors to ‘God’s own country’, Kerala, can enjoy heavenly savings of nearly a third (31%) if they choose to travel during the rainy season. Similarly, visitors to Mexico are not letting a little rain put them off with searches for Cancun in July up by almost a half (45%).

Generally speaking, one doesn’t usually associate Halloween with homeowners insurance. One is a night of fun-filled night of adventure, sweets, and costumes while the other is, well, there. But when it comes to saving the headache and expense that goes into filing a homeowners insurance claim, even the most festive Halloween appreciator will perk up and listen. According to an article recently published on InsuranceAgents.com, homeowners planning a Halloween party should take a few simple precautions so they don’t find themselves in a claim situation.

Halloween is one of the few occasions where homeowners across the country actually invite total strangers onto their property. With all the elements involved, anything can go wrong and it is for that reason why a quality homeowners insurance policy is important. “If you are planning a relatively large party then you might want to consider additional homeowners insurance coverage,” states the article titled, ‘Halloween Parties Gone Bad: Homeowners Insurance Affected.’ “You should consult your home insurance agent about your options regarding additional coverage for an event such as a Halloween bash.”

State Of The Art Approaches to Digital Asset Management Implemented By DPCI

Released on: October 30, 2009, 4:43 am

Industry: Software

Every modern business has an online presence and that Internet connection requires having a website. If the site is not search engine optimized it will not receive traffic. First impressions do count in cyberspace – if the website is not interesting enough to catch and hold a visitor’s attention the result will be a loss of sales. One way to brand a company and to add interest to a site is through such things as logos, videos, audios, still and stock photos and images, and other forms of content. But in a short period of time this arsenal of content adds up and if it is not properly organized in an effective digital asset management system time can be wasted in searching for, accessing, and updating content.

New York, NY, October, 2009 – DPCI works to assist companies with increased speed and functionality in updating online content. An online presence is an absolute requirement of every modern day industry, corporation, business, and organization. But simply having a website does not guarantee visitors to the site. In fact, there are several things that must be in place before visitors can even find a website easily. Perhaps the most important concern is that of search engine optimization. This is a method of utilizing appropriate keywords and phrases in the correct way to get noticed by the search engines. A good ranking with search engines helps to insure that people in need of a particular service or product will find the right site.

Another important part of having a positive online presence is having interesting content that keeps visitors coming back. This is sometimes done through the use of photos, videos, audios, logos and other branding materials. As a company grows and develops new products and services the more of this digital content there is to manage. Obviously the digital asset management is a vital component of any content management system.
